Most personal streaming service user agreements do not allow for you to share videos from them in class.
The district subscribes to the following streaming services. Find them in Clever. They can be accessed through the Clever portal.
- PBS Learning Media
- Discovery Education
- Nearpod
- SWANK (documentaries and feature films)
- Canva (available in Clever) offers copyright-friendly clipart, backgrounds, animations, sounds, and music.
- Library databases include timely, accurate, and high-quality photos, diagrams, infographics, videos,and more. Here are some we recommend starting with.
If the video you need is not available in our streaming platforms, please suggest it for purchase.
DVD players for your classroom are available in the MHS IT area.
ECASD filters YouTube.
- As a staff member logged into your ECASD YouTube account, you can see all content, but students can’t.
- An unapproved video is indicated by a blue box under it that says, “Video not approved for ecasd.us.”
- Click to approve it and make it viewable to students if it’s necessary for instruction.
- Use Canva (available in Clever) to record narrated slideshows, screen recordings, and edit videos.
- Panopto (again, in Clever) also creates screen recordings, but more importantly, offers video cloud storage that is secure and limited to ECASD members.
- The MHS library has iPads for video recording, as well as green screens, mics, and lighting.
