General Paper Set Up

• 12-point font
• Times New Roman font (or other serif fonts)
• 1-inch margins on all sides

• Indent the first line of each paragraph a half an inch from the left margin

The First Page

• All double-spaced
• Top left of first page:

Your Name

Your Instructor's Name

Course Number or Name

Date

• On the next line, using plain text, center the title 
• Indent the next line and start your paper

Page Numbering

• Include your last name and page numbers in the upper right-hand corner of every page

Formatting Quotes

• Quotes shorter than 4 lines should be formatted the same as the rest of your paper.
• Quotes longer than 4 lines should be written as a block of text a half an inch from the left margin

Works Cited Page

• Are double-spaced
• Use a hanging indent
• Have the sources alphabetized
