Video Clips, Images & Sound

• Canva (available in Clever) is a great sources for copyright-free materials.
• Many of our databases include materials from news or primary sources. Here are some databases we recommend starting with.

DVDs

The library has a DVD collection available for checkout by staff.

If the video you need is not available in our streaming platforms, please suggest it for purchase.

DVD players for your classroom are available in the MHS IT area.

Using Your Personal Streaming Subscriptions

Be aware of copyright considerations when using your own media with classes. Most personal accounts don't allow for "public" performances.

YouTube Considerations

Not all YouTube videos are accessible via the ECASD network, so it pays to plan ahead. If the video you need is blocked, the approval process is here.

Creating Your Own Videos

• Use Canva (available in Clever) to record narrated slideshows, videos, and more.
• The district provides Panopto for video creation. The link to it can be found in the Clever portal.

• The MHS library has iPads for video recording, as well as a green screen for projects

For high school it is:

• Rated G, PG, PG-13 are fine
• Rated R needs approval from admin and parents
